Putting Sustainability At The Heart Of Business Reported by Trung Chau Coca-ColaBeverages Vietnam Limited has announced the Live Positively program with seven sustainability pillars, including beverage benefits, active healthy living, water stewardship, sustainable packaging, energy management and climate protection, community and workplace. On this occasion, Mr. Martin Gil, General Manager of Indochina, Coca-Cola in Southeast Asia Inc., talks with the Weekly about the program. Q: How can people find out about Live Positively? A: There are many ways for all of us to make Live Positively a part of our daily life. Consumers can engage in active healthy living, volunteer their time in the community, help to conserve water, recycle their bottles and cans, turn off the lights to save energy, plant trees, (and) stay refreshed and hydrated everyday. There are many ways both big and small to live positively. What benefits for the community in Vietnam come from this program? We are building on the US$2.1 million we’ve already invested in communities, with a strong focus on investing in community programs in clean water access, helping in times of natural disaster, and helping families in need during Tet. In addition, we are dramatically scaling up our Coca-Cola Retailer Training Program to empower 10,000 small businesses by 2015 with improved business skills, continuing to invest in training our workforce and enabling our employees to volunteer in and give back to their communities. We believe it helps us become an employer of choice, sharing strong values with our employees.
